We lived every bite. Had never had cactus before. It was delicious. Definitely a do it again.

Easily the best Mexican food in Walla Walla. Run by grandma herself and with a fresh and flavorful menu.

Food is delicious. Ambience is casual. I tried the torta with pibil pork and I tasted just as great as my grandma.

You'll be rewarded majorly for your patience! The beef tacos are out of this world!! The melted cheese dip with mushrooms. Get it!! But also, just have patience. It's worth the wait. Give Manny grace while he does all the things.

The food here is really spectacular, modestly priced, and entirely delicious. Staff is super friendly, but two in the kitchen wasn't up to a modest rush. They had a help wanted sign, so I'm chalking it up to a staffing hiccup. The food was absolutely good enough we didn't care.

Amazing food, service, and peaceful environment to enjoy a tasty meal! This is not your average Mexican cuisine, this is truly the real deal. So much flavor in every bite and the price for everything is great! My wife and I ate dinner for under $20 total and did not leave hungry. We commented on how if this same restaurant were in Seattle it would be jam packed and twice as expensive. I can not wait to return!

An excellent Mexican restaurant which serves more Mexico City Style Fair. It has more of a fresh taste and isn't quite as happy and sauces. Recently they started charging for chips and salsa and I sort of find that ridiculous. I love this place but I can't rate it 5 stars and have them charge for chips and salsa

My favorite quesadilla in town is the Tinga Quesadilla here at Grandma's Kitchen!!

Delicious housemade, authentic Mexican food with great gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options. Fresh squeezed lemonade made with coconut water! Housemade tortillas! Everything is fresh and healthy.

So wonderful here. The owner is always a lot of fun. Food is excellent homemade! Great presentation as well. Good to the last bite!

My husband and I follow a strict KETO diet and after listening carefully to our dietary restrictions, Manny made us beautiful and perfectly portioned chicken salads. They were simply delicious and by far the best we’ve had in town. Thank you so much for taking the time to accommodate us and we will see you again next week! 💕

This is not just another Mexican restaurant. Flavors, textures, spices that are sophisticated, and hard to find anywhere. Great service, very warm and appreciative. Treat yourself, you'll wish you lived here to enjoy often!

This is not "fast food". As other reviewers have noted, if you are in a hurry, this is not a good choice. Service can be very slow as their a re few hands doing many jobs, and when they get a rush of people, they struggle to keep up. The hours are also inconsistent--I drive by and check if they are open. But it's absolutely worth the wait and the trouble. Best Mexican food I've ever had. The owner is charming, and his grandmother even more so. Wonderful family owned business. Go when you have time to enjoy a quality meal.

We had the tortilla soup, and I'm sure I'll be dreaming of this wonderfulness for years to come.

Despite that it took 40 minutes to get our order, because there was a birthday party that slowed the kitchen down, the food was so delicious! The service was perfect, we were offered free appetizer during waiting. It was the best Mexican food I've ever tried in my life. Yummy! And the white wine was so good. Highly recommend to try their food, you won't be disappointed.

The service was fantastic. The food left something to be desired. I will say one thing--the chipotle salsa was really, really spicy and delicious. I imagine there are better Mexican options in the city.

The cliche "food made with love tastes better" is true at Grandma's. They are now running daily specials which are exceptional in flavor, presentation and price point. The whole experience feels generous, exactly what I remember from time spent in Mexico long ago. I leave happy and sated every time, eager to return. Thank you!

This place is definitely a gem in Walla Walla. The tacos are flavorful, prepared quickly, and well sized. The service was absolutely fantastic. The owner was very helpful and polite, he made us feel like royalty when we chose our food and after we ate. The prickly pear and chicken were my favorite tacos, but all the food is wonderful. We’re definitely eating there again.

Love this place! Absolutely amazing menu. Crazy authentic, and they have Noplaes (marinated cactus) tacos. The roasted red sauce is no joke. But well worth the pain. Haven’t had a bad thing on the menu.

Fantastic food and service. The pork burruto was incredible, the ingredients were fresh, and the chips and guacamole were great. Very authentic and welcoming environment.

Not a place you should go unless you have the time to enjoy their food. I ordered a chicken burrito with a something or other salad on the inside it came with two sauces hot or green verde both where so flavorful and creamy and smooth. The perfect texture. The different flavors in the burrito where well placed a flavor here and there but all the way packed. Large servings for a single person. I did also order the queso cheese dip it was very good with the burrito. The decor in the restaurant is very entertaining and dimly lit for a more calm feel while eating. Kind of like siting at a family reunion. I would recommend to any person who comes to the walla walla area.

As a native Californian, I've had a lot of good Mexican food. Was passing thru Walla Walla on the way to Idaho and found this place, AKA La Cocina de la Abuela. Would definitely eat here again.

Great food and service. I'm a picky eater, especially when I comes to Hispanic foods which I prefer not so spicy. But it was great! Everything was made fresh right on the spot.

The red salsa was the hottest thing I've ever tasted or felt. The green salsa and the guacamole were delicious, and I was eventually able to enjoy them once I stopped sweating and crying from the red. We also ordered a chicken burrito, chicken tostada and fish tacos. The burrito was the star, but all were good. Fun, small and authentic place.

Mexican food in Walla Walla is really good. Grandma's kitchen stands out with their own special distinct flovers to every dish. If you are a local or just visiting looking for an excellent meal, this family owned and operated restaurant is a must. Their pork torta with a prickly pear drink is a perfect combination. Today's meal seemed to be better than last time. Funny thing is last time it was delicious.

If you're in the Walla Walla area this place is a must. Authentic Mexican cuisine. Great food. It was sort of an accident visit. We were there for Mothers day visiting our daughter and we happen to go to another place that was full. We had ordered something to drink from the other place, but there were no seats available for us to visit. So we walked next door to Grandma's Kitchen because they were closed for another 30 minutes and used their outdoor tables to visit. When they opened they were very polite and let us visit. By that time we were getting hungry and thought we would buy from them. Best decision ever! They were welcoming and very friendly. Again, great food. Great service. Decent prices.

Have not had food this good since last trip to the beaches of Mexico, and I am a professional chef. Great food, service amd cleanest restaurant you can imagine. Highly recommended
